Something has been bothering me for awhile and I feel no better place to get it off my chest then right here on the web. The other day I had an epiphany. Well, it was more like the other night afte
r a heavy night at bars. I returned home empty handed and after browsing the internet for a short 3-6 minutes became heavily involved in transfer news and gossip. It was in this content state that I began to wonder, what the F**** am I doing? I thought to liken myself to a silly woman stuck in her hair salon all day being like, “Ooh, Trish! Did you see that Adriano? Powerful figure, he is. Wouldn’t mind rubbing butter on his chest at the Arsenal. Tasty!” It has been gnawing at me for awhile now that I constantly find myself reading the gossip & transfers section like a teenage girl reads people magazine. Perhaps all the angst only comes from the fact that Wenger never really does any real buys and I’m just sitting around feeling, well… a bit jealous.

I think you’ve got it all wrong. Since Arsene is not known as a buyer, but rather a developer, you don’t have all the retarded specualtion on your message boards. Just today, while I was reading one of the Liverpool threads about the Brazillian striker Amauri, one commenter, in all seriousness, said, “I’d quite prefer Kaka, to be honest,” and another said that the three players we needed were “Eto’o, Tevez, and Henry.” To be able to miss out on all the idiots who think we’re going to bring in all the players in UEFA’s team of the year sounds like heaven.
Grass is always greener on the other side.
